For Samantha, curiosity means being open to what is present. When clients present their experiences, concerns, and goals, Samantha is careful not to project any ideas, opinions, or thoughts onto them. Instead, she remains open to connect with each client with curiosity and serve them authentically and individually.
This approach, which blends authenticity and vulnerability with 18 years of professional expertise, allows Samantha to be an impressive and effective Tax Director at Curio Wealth.
Samantha’s journey includes earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting and simultaneously an MBA while graduating summa cum laude from Mount St. Mary’s University. Samantha then went on to earn the esteemed CPA and Series 65 qualifications, adding layers to an impressive resume.
Samantha’s story, however, is wider than the classroom and office. Owning a sailing company in the Caribbean gave Samantha hands-on experience with running a business. From accounting to marketing and even repairing boat engines, Samantha wore many hats and gained insight into the many challenges business owners face. With this unique background, Samantha is empowered and devoted to alleviating burdens that business owners face.
When seeking a fresh perspective, Samantha heads to the woods for a walk. The experience and environment remind Samantha to stay grounded. Her morning routine typically involves snuggling her 9-year-old, sipping coffee by the fire, and getting some morning sunlight.
Samantha has a diverse range of interests: training Muay Thai, competing in mountain bike races, embracing the weekly ritual of sauna and cold plunges, and indulging in endless reading, writing, and drawing. With one eye to the future, Samantha envisions continuing to serve Curio’s clients with focused and integrated tax planning.
