Jacob (Jake) Sadler is a Founder and Senior Advisor at Curio Wealth based in Asheville, North Carolina. He brings a depth of experience and knowledge which he has honed as a fee-only advisor over the past decade since 2011.
In his role, Jake serves as a steadfast guide for clients navigating the complexities of retirement planning. Jake enjoys developing meaningful long term relationships with his clients, guiding them through the often challenging terrain of retirement by fostering a comfortable understanding of their investments and income.
His approach is grounded with empathy and education, two traits he has also shared in the classroom teaching at both Western Carolina University and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
His specialization is working with clients as they chart a course into and throughout retirement. Specifically, Jake’s work centers around retirement income planning. In addition, other important areas of practice include portfolio management, Social Security planning, income tax planning, and long term care planning. Jake also has a deep understanding of continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), and the planning decisions retirees face as they age.
In the coming years, Jake’s vision is for Curio to play a role in transforming the wealth management landscape and redefining what financial guidance looks like through a human-first approach that builds authentic connection with clients, and helps clients connect their finances in a meaningful way to their lives, values, and purpose.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Jake actively contributes to the community, having served on the board of Bent Creek Community Park and as a past member of the Land of Sky Estate Planning Council, Pisgah Area SORBA, and is a graduate of Leadership Asheville (Class 35).
Jake and his family live just next to the Pisgah National Forest and when he is not in the office can often be found mountain biking or out for a walk in the woods. His true passion is playing with his two daughters and learning from them as they explore the world.
