Ryan Donahue is an Associate Financial Advisor at Curio Wealth. With over 20 years of professional experience, including more than two in financial services, Ryan plays an important role at the firm—supporting the lead advisor by providing meticulous client service, documenting meeting discussions, and translating clients’ financial goals into actionable strategies. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Holy Cross, an MBA from George Washington University, and a Certificate in Financial Planning from George Mason University, completed in May 2024.
Ryan’s career is characterized by his deep belief in the power of financial planning to transform lives. His journey into financial planning began when he experienced its impact firsthand. After getting married, he and his wife worked with a financial planner, and it was then that he realized how powerful financial planning could be for anyone looking to achieve their goals. This experience stayed with Ryan for years, and he knew he wanted to help others in the same way. As a career changer, he brings a different perspective to the industry, leveraging his extensive marketing and leadership experience to offer clients an integrated approach to their financial planning needs.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Ryan is deeply committed to his community. Since 2012, he has served as a volunteer athletic director and coach at St. Peter’s parish in Washington, DC, and he also contributes his time to a local community garden board. In his personal time, Ryan enjoys playing golf, traveling, and spending quality time with his family.
Ryan’s mantra, “Do things that make an impact,” guides his work and life, focusing his actions on being purposeful and meaningful.
