As Founder, Senior Advisor, and Chief Compliance Officer at Curio, Lyn oversees the day-to-day operations, provides guidance and mentorship to rising advisors, and serves clients’ planning and investment needs, drawing on her remarkable 25-plus years of experience.
Lyn received her undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond, where she obtained a BA in Psychology. She then received her Juris Doctor from George Mason School of Law and is still an associate member of the VA State Bar. Lyn then went on to pursue and acquire her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation.
Lyn works with clients in the Thriving in Midlife phase as well as those in the Living a Modern Retirement category. She is known for her ability to translate complex financial concepts into relatable and easy-to-understand concepts for her clients. She is known for her ability to understand the needs of female breadwinners and divorcees in these phases of life and to collaborate with them on stewarding their financial future.
Beyond her professional commitments, Lyn has made significant contributions to her community, serving on various boards, including the Samaritan House of Annapolis and the Community Action Council of Howard County. She mentored professional women with the Executive Alliance of Baltimore and was a Governor’s appointee to the Maryland General Assembly Compensation Commission for two consecutive terms ending in 2022.
In the coming years, Lyn looks forward to mentoring the next generation of advisors and providing deeper guidance in investments, tax planning, and behavioral finance. Her interest in this area was driven by a desire to educate and assist those who find personal finance intimidating. This ties in with her personal values of helping others, curiosity, and lifelong learning.
Outside her professional roles, Lyn is a boater, dedicated runner and 30-year yoga practitioner. She is passionate about travel and is slowly but steadily learning French. She has two adult children and lives in Annapolis with her husband, Paul.
